A top notch culinary experience!!

Everything was perfect the only small issue is the rest time between meals i like to have some time between starter and main course and dessert but for the rest for me is 9.5 out of 10 wonderful experience

Cannot add anything more to the quality of the food or service. Only suggestion could be to serve an oshibori or hot towel to guests to wipe their hands before eating. Other than that I really cannot add more, it has always been an amazing experience for us. Thank you.

Leaving in Malta for almost 4 years now, and from far one of the best restaurant we have done Malta and Gozo combined. The quality and the service with our amazing waitresses were outstanding for a very reasonable price. The only negative point is that we didn't have enough space to try more dishes.

As part of our honeymoon, we went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotelier. The food was so delicious that we went three times in four days. It was easily our favorite restaurant on the island. Everything was perfect: the service, the food, the cocktails, and the atmosphere.

I had an unforgettable meal at this cozy bistro in Gozo. The pork chop was absolutely incredible — tender, juicy, and aromatic. You could smell how good it was before it even hit the table.
The starter featuring traditional Maltese sausage was equally impressive. Rich, spicy, and full of authentic local flavor, it set the perfect tone for the meal.
The pasta had great flavor and was perfectly cooked. The portions were perfect for a multiple course meal or a larger portion was available for the dinner size on the pasta. We had the Moroccan cigars and muhammara to start (expertly seasoned) then we had the rabbit and black garlic cappelletti and it was incredibly tender with great flavor (perfectly cooked pasta) and the Pistachio and pancetta casareece. Well seasoned, well cooked and delicious. The second night we had the Moroccan cigars and rabbit again, since those were both so amazing and also had Gbejna gnudi (again, great flavor and perfectly cooked). We also added the beef tenderloin (medium rare) that was expertly cooked and so tender. We finished off with the 4th course with the strawberry pavlova, which was to die for!! I wish I could have eaten 2 of them. The wine selection from both Italy and Malta was extensive and well curated. The staff gave us the time between to courses to just enjoy conversation and the ambiance of the place. They were very kind, engaged with us over the dishes and the wines we selected. In addition, the prices were more than reasonable. This is a place your can't afford to miss on your dinning adventure.

We finally ate some typical dishes well prepared but above all of excellent quality. From the moment you enter the excellent service, no more wine list and small menu but great in quality and dishes that you don't know which one to choose...
Being a chef and coming from Italian and Mexican families I can tell you that the dishes were harmonies of tastes! From the appetizer to the dessert! All good! Excellent service also to the waiters!

Staff were super friendly. Fantastic cocktails and great recommendation for a local wine. We all loved our starters. Wife and I went for a couple of pasta dishes which were good but not nearly as good as the tuna that my future son-in-law went for. We should have gone for that but be hungry as it is a big portion. Overall really enjoyed our meal and would not hesitate to return.

We had a great meal here with our group of 8. Maldonado is a great find, away from the busiest area of Victoria. The menu has modern takes on Gozitan classics, with everything beautifully presented. Portions are generous and the food is good value, given the quality. We definitely hope to visit again.

We had an issue with our Tomahawk steak, most of it was far too tough to be edible. We were not going to complain as the starters were filling and we we didn't feel like causing a stir. We were surprised as a staff member must have seen my wife spitting a bite of the meat into a tissue and the manager came over and apologized profusely and got a Fillet steak for my wife as a replacement. To our pleasant surprise, the manager removed the Tomahawk from the bill completely and this was not cheap as it was "to share" and just charged for the fillet. Kudos to the manager, prosit. Things happen in spite of our best efforts, its how we handle them that makes us unique...

Wonderful experience! The chef/owner assisted us in choosing the perfect menu, and we had a great conversation about travel, food, and Julia Child. Service was excellent and the food was exceptional.
We just had a wonderful dinner at Maldonado Bistro. The ambiance, service and food were all first rate. While a little pricier than many Victoria restaurants, it was well worth the money.

Lovely setting, had Chicken Supreme, most amazing dish and lovely local wine. Would recommend this restaurant for couples or friends looking for an excellent meal a d a relaxed atmosphere

This restaurant was advised to us and we definitely did not regret eating here. The food was delicious. Flavours and quality that we normally don’t get eating out. The waiters were very polite and not pushy at all. We would recommend going here.

A truly wonderful meal to end our holiday in Malta! The food was outstanding and fabulous value for money. Loved the concept of the secret menu and had a real authentic local vibe to it. You won't find 7 courses for 45 Euros in many places and was divine! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect meal on our last evening

Maldonado is the very best restaurant in Victoria. Hidden away, full of history and character. Everything is perfect. Both food and wine are excellent and really reasonably priced. Can't recommend highly enough

A little jewel on Gozo!
Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Staff are friendly without being too touchy freely. Food was superb. Will undoubtedly book again on our next visit to Gozo.

Love this place! I had trouble booking online but they got em sorted via email and were really cool even though I had to change the booking twice. The ambiance was really beautiful with great lighting and French jazz playing softly. The food was presented really well and was very tasty. The twice baked goat cheese souffle was probably my favourite dish of the three I had. But the chicken was good and the dessert felt very local. Service could have been a little quicker but it was very busy and we were happy to enjoy the local wine. Prob my fave restaurant in Gozo👍🏼
The place is very intimate and romantic. As for the food its unique. Compliments to the Chef! Will definitely revisit.
Great food and service
my sea food past was horrible. no flavour at all, and it was not cooked enought...and they charge me 3 euros more for being main course...I asked them to cooked it a bit more and they gave me back a watery dish...even worse than before. not worth it.
